Service Mode is a function on iPhone/Apple Watch used when a digital Suica card balance is not displayed correctly due to device or communication issues, or when errors such as unresponsiveness or misreading occur with a reader. If setup is unsuccessful or the procedure differs due to your iOS version, contact Apple Support.
[Using Service Mode (iPhone)]
1. Launch the Wallet app.
2. If you have multiple cards in your Wallet app, select the digital Suica card in question.
3. Tap the three dots "..." button in the top-right corner.
4. Tap "Card Details."
5. Tap "Turn on Service Mode."
6. Authenticate with Touch ID/Face ID (Service Mode will remain active for approximately one minute).
[Using Service Mode (Apple Watch)]
1. Launch the Wallet (double-click the side button on your Apple Watch).
2. If you have multiple cards in your Wallet, select the Suica in question.
3. Scroll down to the bottom and tap "Turn on Service Mode."
4. Double-click the side button on your Apple Watch (Service Mode will remain active for approximately one minute).
