Suica issued via the Welcome Suica Mobile app have a validity period of 180 days from the date of issuance.
After expiration, the remaining balance is forfeited. Please note that top-ups to your Suica balance cannot be refunded.
[Issuance Procedure]
1. Download the Welcome Suica Mobile app from the App Store.
2. Launch the app.
3. Review and agree to the Terms of Service.
4. Set your Secret Keyword and press "OK."
5. Allow location services*.
6. Select your initial top-up amount and pay using Apple Pay.
*To comply with relevant international laws, your device's location information (latitude, longitude, etc.) is used once before proceeding to the top-up screen to determine whether topping up the balance is possible in your country/region. This determination is performed by an Apple API on the user's device. Neither this app nor JR East acquires, stores, or continuously uses the user's location information (latitude longitude, etc.).
