If Suica is correctly set to "Express Transit Card" and your device is turned on (even in sleep mode), just hold your device near the reader to go through the ticket gate with fare payment. When using Suica, you hear a “beep” sound.
Setting the Express Transit Card: Settings→Wallet & Apple Pay →Select a Suica as the Express Transit Card.
