[Changing or replacing devices] From an iOS/watchOS device to another iOS/watchOS device

Answer

You can transfer your digital Suica card to another iOS/watchOS device (Suica-compatible) signed in with the same Apple ID. If you have any questions or issues with this process, please contact Apple Care for support.

Before performing a device change/replacement:
· Make sure that the old and new device are both signed in using the same Apple ID. * Suica cannot be transferred between different Apple IDs. 
· Make sure the old device still has an internet connection.

*Steps to transfer your Suica:
1. On the old device (iPhone or Apple Watch), launch the Wallet app and delete the Suica you wish to transfer (the information for the card will be stored in the server).*1
2. On the new device (iPhone), launch the Wallet app and reconfigure the Suica that was saved to the server.*2
3. If transferring to an Apple Watch, launch the Watch app and perform the transfer.
4. Launch the Welcome Suica Mobile app on the new device.

*1 If the old device cannot communicate or is broken and you cannot save the Suica to the server in Step 1, contact Apple Care and explain that you need to know how to delete your Suica card from the Wallet app on an old device.  

*2 During reconfiguration, select "Previous Cards" instead of "Transit Card" and choose the digital Suica card to transfer. Please note that it may take a few seconds for the "Previous Cards" option to appear. Wait until it comes up on the screen.

Possible errors during device changes or replacement
· If the new device is not properly set up for digital Suica cards, make the changes in settings as necessary (https://apfaq.mobilesuica.com/faq/show/6982?site_domain=wsm). 
· For Apple Watch, you must pair with an iPhone signed in with the same Apple ID as the Apple ID used to originally create your digital Suica card. 
· Transferring your digital Suica card may change the Suica ID number (https://apfaq.mobilesuica.com/faq/show/7043?site_domain=wsm). If you are using services like lockers with the digital Suica card, you may need to update information or perform other procedures.
